Apple iPhone be at risk as hackers can attack mail app

Image
The email app on  Apple  iPhone may be at its Achilles heel against hackers and vulnerable to malware attacks, as per a report by the The Wall Street Journal. The report is based upon the claims of  cybersecurity firm  ZecOps that says that hackers have found a flaw in mail on  Apple iPhone . And the iPhone can be hacked without you having to tap on a link or downloading any file, essentially a "malware without input", claims ZecOps. To make such a surreptitious attack possible, hackers could send in a "malware without input", a breach which would be "virtually undetectable ". This malware would be in the form of a "specially designed message", claim researchers. What is more alarming that hackers could have been exploiting  the flaw for quite some time now, the time being claimed to "at least two yeas". There have been reportedly "at least six targets" till now and they have been mentioned in the report. They include ...

Apple will start reopening its retail stores, beginning with South Korea location

Image
Apple said on Thursday that it would reopen its retail store in Seoul, South Korea, this week as part of a broader push to resume physical retail operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic. There are no concrete plans yet to reopen stores  elsewhere, although Apple has said in the past that it could start reopening stores in US sometime in may. Apple initially closed its retail stores in mainland China earlier this year, and then in March, it closed all 458 other locations around the world, with a deadline of March 27th that has since been extended indefinitely as the spread of the virus has worsened. The closures have affected Apple's ability to conduct in store returns repairs, offer Genius Bar support, and sell inventory containing both its own products and those of third-party partners. South Korea has shown great progress during the spread of COVID-19, Apple said in a statement, South Korea has a population of more than 51 million, has just over 10,500 confirmed cases and only...

Here's Why Apple launched an iPhone with a small screen

Image
Apple co-fonder Steve Jobs was often called a visionary who generally got most things right about smartphones. However, there's one thing on which Jobs- and Apple had to make a u-turn. In 2010, Jobs was asked about big screen phones and he dismissed them saying "no one's going to buy that" and "you can't get your hand around it". Big screen phones have become the norm and every brand including Apple has them in their lineups. In fact, small screen phones have all but disappeared from the horizon. That is till the new iPhone SE arrived yesterday. While some might argue that 4.7 inch screen is not really small as the original iPhone SE had a 4-inch display but it's as small as one can get in today's times. Look at the iPhone 11 Pro Max that has a 6.5 inch screen. So yes, the iPhones SE can easily be classified as a small phone. Apple adopted the 4.7 inch screen size with the iPhone 6 and continued it with iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 as well. With th...

Time to 'forget' flagship phones at affordable prices: Xiaomi

Image
The smartphones market in India may be looking at correcting itself soon as it appears it is becoming difficult for brands to offer flagship smartphones or phones with top specs at affordable prices. Smartphones brands, mostly Chinese, won the Indian market by offering value for money handsets and premium phones at cheaper prices than half the cost of phones like Apple and Samsung. However, things may no longer be the same for these brands. Smartphone enthusiasts expect that an affordable flagship smartphone from Chinese brands should at least have a flagship Qualcomm processor. And as far as pricing is concerned, an affordable flagship smartphone is generally expected to be priced under 30,000 in India. Another issue is that latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset is 5G enabled, this means the costs of the 5G modern is already included which makes the chipset even more expensive. So, far a country like India, where there is no 5G connectivity, making an affordable phone...
